My Approach to Therapy
Acknowledging and honoring the various identities one can hold is an important aspect of my approach to therapy. I firmly believe that our intersecting identities can and do shape the way we perceive ourselves, the way we are impacted by the systems we are apart of, and the way we engage in community and relationships with others.
It’s imperative to me that I strive to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and affirming/validating space for anyone who seeks out my supportive services. Feedback is valuable to me along the way, as I recognize that the client is the expert in their own lives and that our therapeutic work together is most effective when it is collaborative.
As a licensed therapist, I find fulfillment in supporting folks in exploring the barriers that prevent them from achieving and maintaining a level of personal freedom and contentment in life.
I offer an integrative, intersectional and inclusive, compassion focused, strengths-based, trauma informed, and client centered approach to therapy. Where I utilize a variety of strategies from a range of therapeutic modalities, I have additional training in the following approaches:

EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing-

I aim to offer support in identifying the challenges and concerns that trigger and activate emotional distress. During our work together, we will also explore efficient, effective, and accessible coping tools to best manage that distress.
